Extreme Picnicking

Picnic

Picnic

Okay, so these photos are far from extreme, but I'd just like to point out that I'm a semi professional picnicker. It is one of my favorite past times, and I've picnicked through France, across the U.S., on mountains, in boats, you name it. These are my top picks for a rad picnic.
- Food. Like more than you would ever need, ever. Not having enough food at a picnic totally ruins it. Good picks? Egregious amounts of cheese. Champagne or Pimms. I prefer Pimms because it screams summer. Lots of fruits and veggies. Some kind of freshly baked bread. All of these elements put together and you're golden.
- Blankets. More than one if you're picnicking in a somewhat hardy area such as on top of a mountain in the wind. (That's extreme picnicking for you right there.)
- Card games, Frisbee, or if you're having a solo picnic. Summer without Frisbee isn't really summer. 'nuff said.
- Assorted cutlery, plates and glasses. Don't be the one who makes everyone swig out of the same champagne bottle or forgets a knife...tearing off cheese with your teeth is too barbaric, even for extreme picnicking.
- Extras: Music that won't piss off everyone around you, a cooler filled with ice for serious warm weather picnicking, large hats, desserts, thermoses filled with tea, croquet.

I just stumbled on to your blog and I love this post! I was just thinking about going on a picnic today! My favorite place to picnic (so far) is at McCormick's Creek. It's a national park near my house! :)

WOW this is so fun to read

i once went picnic at the side of a waterfall here in Malaysia , my family are not so fancy with picnics because my mum can't stand to be under the hot sun, sigh.

In my country ,not everyone is really into picnic i guess it because we don't have a lot of nice venues , living in the city its so hard to find a place to picnic. Some Parks here don't allow us to do that.

anyway u have lovely photos for this post ♥

I love picnics! This is a great post with awesome tips. :) And these pictures are lovely. They make me want to go on a picnic!

My favorite picnic was probably one I had while visiting family in Alaska. We had one at the Arboretum. It's basically like this giant garden. So beautiful.

Lucy , :) sorry for the late reply i didn't have time to log in my blog today

About the software u asked me , i used photoshop to adjust the colors but recently i found a better way to edit my photos

i download ATN ( Photoshop action files from Devian Art ) , there are tons of it , thanks to all the artist and designer who shares them

its easier cause its just click away and it will auto adjust the photos

my fav atn - are vintage colors , and u can try color processing actions too

its all in DevianArt :)
