Living In An Urban Jungle

Hi lovelies!
Here's a little taste of what my weekend was like. It was a pretty chilly, and Saturday was a fun day of thrifting (vintage-ing?) at Beacon's Closet, Fox and Fawn, and Urban Jungle. On Sunday morning the NYC Marathon went right past my house, so we cheered on the runners and gave lots of high fives. It was so inspiring seeing people of different ages, from countries all over the world, and levels of ability running together. What an inspiring and unifying experience!

In the evening we went for a very windy walk across the Brooklyn Bridge and watched the sun set over the water. It was so beautiful, but unfortunately my camera ran out of battery. In some ways it was a blessing because I enjoyed the walk a lot more since I wasn't trying to get the perfect shot. I guess I'll have to head back there sometime soon to take some pics. After our chilly walk we went to my favorite pizza place, Roberta's. The Cheesus Christ is the best, not only because it has an awesome name, but also because it has honey on it. Yummy!
My gorgeous and lovely roommate Jen was kind enough to take these shots of me on Saturday. Isn't the graffiti in Brooklyn amazing?

Love that outfit! The headband looks awesome! I worked all weekend, but I did have a cupcake potluck on Saturday night! I have so many leftover cupcakes now!

Especially love your faux fur coat and silk shirt (the two thrifted things here! I swear I'm attracted primarily to anything charity shopped. Haha.) The whole outfit is great.
And thank you for your really wonderful comment too. What degree scoliosis do you have? And I found both Osteopathy and Alexander technique helpful before surgery. I'm hoping to get back to doing some more Alexander soon.

Can I just say that I love this outfit? I might as well admit that I'll be stealing the idea, and attempting it myself ASAP. Thanks for the inspiration! Also, you're blog is lovely. I've added it to my daily reads. :)
