Lady of the Lake

Lake Tahoe

Lake Tahoe

Here's a little glimpse into how stunning my home is. This view of Lake Tahoe is just down the street from my house. I do think I live in one of the most beautiful places on earth!
Things have been going pretty well here and the skiing has been fantastic the past few days. I am almost done with my instructor training and I can't wait to get out on the slopes and hang out with some little rippers! I will be teaching the 4-6 year olds and I think it's going to be so much fun.

Coat: Topshop

Everything else has been pretty quiet around here. It's such a different pace from New York, I'm having a hard time getting used to it! I used to live right around the corner from a bunch of coffee shops and bars, and now it is so common to drive for 45 minutes through the snow to go out and get a drink. I like spending all of my days outdoors though, so I guess it's a trade off!

What is it like were you live? In a city, or the middle of nowhere like me?

P.S. By the way...I have some pretty awesome friends! I know lots of you guys are probably looking for new blogs to read, and if you're looking for a little departure from the fashion world I have just the thing for you! My lovely friend Claire's blog One Night Stanzas is all about poetry, and Kari's blog, ideaing is worth a look for its discussion on sexism and other interesting and important topics.

That looks like an awesome place to live. These pictures are fantastic and your outfit is really cute & warm. I've lived in the middle of nowhere and in a city. Both have there pros & cons but I liked it much better in the sweet seclusion of nowhere-land. :)

STUNNING! The view is so breath taking, and I'm not talking about the scenery ;) Hehe! You look adorable in all your layers! I've been craving some tranquility and this place looks like it'd hit the spot!

The scenery is gorgeous, I am so jealous! I like in a small town but with no views like this! I am probably more of a city girl but I think I could live here quite happily!;)

Oh my goodness, these photos are stunning. The mountains are just incredible.

In answer to your question, I live in a super unpopulated area on top of a small mountain, & I'm about 15 minutes from the town where I work/play/etc. P:

Going to check out your friends' blogs!

So I definitely just died a little bit at these pictures. Besides the fact that you're looking gorgeous in those boots, I can't get over how beautiful the scenery is where you live. :)

Good luck with your skiers (is that how you spell it? haha)!!

Everything about these photos are so amazing. I lost my breath just looking at the first one.

I would love to have a view like that out of my window. The sky is MAGNIFICENT. These images should be postcards or in magazines. Your outfit is also very lovely!

:)

Best wishes from one blogger to another,

Your photos are all so hauntingly beautiful! The scenery is breathtaking, and I'm in love with all your cute layers. 4-6 year olds should be fun to teach, but a handful, for sure.

I wish I lived in the middle of nowhere. One day, maybe! For now, suburban anonymity.

the lanscape is beautiful! living near a lake is an amazing thing. I live 45 train-minutes away from lake of constance which is a really cool place becaue it has a lovely mediterean atmosphere (in summer).
I hope you'll have a lot of fun with your skiing kids. but beware: the little ones are the biggest speedsters!

love, kimi

I'd probably always want people around me because I'm oddly someone who can't go with being alone for too long. But at the same time, there's something tantalizing about living somewhere peaceful and isolated. And I agree, where you're living is gorgeous! I also dig the boots lots. :)
