Bellbottoms, Babe

bell bottoms

Here's a little look at the only item in my closet that can be even remotely classified as having a bell bottom shape. While I love these trousers dearly, I don't really wear them that often, because, as you may have noticed, I'm a dress kinda girl. I am on a mission to find a really great pair of bellbottom jeans though! I have exhausted the thrift stores so I think I may have to start saving my pennies for a pair of J Brands, or this lovely pair of EmersonMade BlueBells that Maria posted about on her blog not too long ago. Don't they look fantastic?

Right now I am up in Lake Tahoe for some much needed snow time. I love being here, it is so beautiful. I know, I'm far away from Brooklyn, but I'll be back there soon. My life is in a state of upheaval (as usual!) and I may be doing some exciting things in the future, so I'll keep you guys posted.

Tell me about where you guys live! Any recommendations for places to visit in my wild and wonderful constant travel bug tour of life?

If you want to view desperation and abandoned buildings, Detroit is the way to go! haha. But I'd say my favorite places I've visited is in the US, Yellowstone, Zion Nat Park... Foreign, Himeji in Japan, Punta del Este in Uruguay, and most of all Garopaba in Brasil. Brasil is a must to travel to, but the best beaches (less crowded prettier) are in the south.

I love the pants, been looking for a pattern to make my own kinda like those!

Wow, the shape of these pants is perfect! They look great n you, especially with these killer heels :)

If you ever happen to travel to Germany and stop by in Düsseldorf one of the coolest places is the Medienhafen (media port) where modern architecture meets our olf-fashioned Rhine promenade.
Oh and every month there's the Radschlägermarkt, Düsseldorf's oldest and biggest fleamarket :)

Flared pants are definitely nothing for me but anyway I love to see them on others. You look amazing. Like a girl straight from the 70ies in a casual disco outfit.

I love how your pants look! Bell bottoms are pretty hard to pull off but you do it well. :)

I live in Manila, the capital of the Philippines. It's only good for shopping but otherwise, there's not much to do. The beaches of my country are gorgeous though!

Looking great. Those EmersonMade bell bottoms are brilliant. The pockets are the perfect shape (I am really finicky about bell bottom pockets LOL) Quite the investment though.

I am in Cambridge England. Oh so historic ;)

Wow, nice to see bellbottoms here, especially with the recent obsession with skinny jeans. I love skinny jeans, and prefer them over bellbottoms, but you look so cute!

I was briefly in a phase when I desired a good pair of high-waisted 70s-style bell bottoms, which is funny since lately, any jeans that I wear are skinny. The last time I wanted anything flare was back when I was but a wee 5th grader. :D Very nice pair, accentuating the curves!

Where I am is now bedridden with snow-- I almost miss the bright colors of autumn, but at the same time, it puts me in an effective mood for the holidays. :)
