Little Red Riding Hood

Little Red Riding Hood

Surprise...it's snowing again! Sometimes I think I'll never get used to how often the weather changes here!

This is my barista outfit. I just got a job as a coffee and sandwich making lady at a local west shore deli, because my resort is closing soon. I am still ski instructing 4 days a week though, I can't give up the amazing snow right now that easily! It is nice to be working in a "normal" job again, where I can wear what I want and don't have to talk in child speak all day. (Although that obviously has its bonuses too...I mean, who doesn't enjoy pretending they are a skiing unicorn/leprechaun/grizzly bear?) The deli is such a fun place to work, although I'm the only girl who works there! The man to woman ratio in Tahoe is crazy, like 7:1. It's been weird getting used to it. I've honestly never had so many guy friends in my life!

I have been living in this coat recently. I love wool coats with hoods because they are so warm, and I feel like red riding hood in this one! It was truly made for the cold weather; it has a zippered waistcoat sort of lining which makes it very toasty.

I'm so excited for all the changes that spring is bringing. New jobs, new friends, and new interests! Has springtime sparked anything new and wonderful in your life?

That sounds like such an amazing place to live! The idea of waking up and don't know how the weather is outside is so romantic :)

I feel your pain, the snow seems never ending! But you look comfy cozy so I guess it's alright.

Little Red Riding Hood indeed. This is just perfect, especially for the snowy conditions. I love your backpack as well. Springtime is much colder than I remember it. I wish it were summer already!

I would love to experience the magic of a man to woman ratio of 7:1, haha. Maybe your abundance of guy friends, though, is due to pretending you're a skiing unicorn. (:

In other news, that jacket is fantastic. It is really cute but also looks like it does its job and keeps you toasty (which you need, given the crazy amounts of snow you're chillin' in). Congratulations on the second job.

I have yet to find the perfect coat, really. And your hood matches the house(?). It's the silly little things that make me happy. Love the boots, too :)

Its so funny to look at your last post where you are in a beautiful dress to this post where you are back in your winter jacket. What tumultuous weather you have out there! I thought where I lived was bad. But you look great against the background in your red hooded jacket. I hope the snow melts for you soon.

The weather looks truly mad where you are, and yet you soldier on with outfit shots! I think they red hood is great, as is the backpack.

By the way, I enjoyed your post on Prospect Park that you referred to me... I was just stuck with very dodgy internet and couldn't comment. It was pretty cold and windy when I went there recently, so I didn't stick around, but I can imagine it's awesome in the summer (hmmm, things to do when I go back... ... ...
